DRIFT
Integrated Audiovisual Control System
Drift is an integrated system designed to control audio and spatialization based on the behavior of visuals in real time, using tools like TouchDesigner, SpatGris, and MIDI/OSC. The system manages parameters such as speed, amplitude, and trajectory, with the visuals directly influencing SpatGris for spatialization. By playing on the claustrophobic effect—evoking the fear of confinement—the piece engages the listener's attention and perception, subtly suggesting the presence of something intangible through sound.
WE NEVER TALK ON THE BUS
Generative Visuals from Audio Analysis
In this research-creation project, funded by ACTOR Montréal (Analysis, Creation, and Teaching of ORchestration) and the CIRMMT (Centre Interdisciplinaire de Recherche en Musique, Media et Technologie), and partnered with drummer Martin Daigle and guitarist Emmanuel Lacopo, I created a real-time system using machine learning to generate visuals responsive to musical timbre and performance dynamics. Several systems were developed by combining SPTools, FluCoMa, and TouchDesigner technologies, allowing me to gain significant experience in building other audio-reactive systems.
CENT-SENS
Audiovisual Performance System
Cent-Sens is a work rooted in the laws of Gestalt and the perception that emerges from interactions with sound, whether directly connected to the audiovisual performance or not. Using a custom audio-reactive performance system, I enable real-time interaction between sound and visuals through dynamic figure-ground relationships. With controllers, I trigger and direct signals into figure or ground elements, creating diverse perceptual effects and enhancing the immersive audiovisual experience.
LUMINOCTOPHONIE
Immersive Light and Sound Installation
I designed Luminoctophonie, an experience combining an octophonic sound system and LED lights to create dynamic energy flows perceived through both sound and light.
